I have a couple of questions on GW2 beta download package, I wanted to ask on GW2 guru forums, but the forums are down

>Are the Files split up after download?, or is it like gw1 installation where you have a tmp, exe and a .dat file going at 4-5 gigs

>Is it possible to patch/download on a USB?, I currently have 60 GB cap at my dorm plan, and I was wondering if I can go to a library and download the whole shebang on my 32 GB USB

>Is there a link to a full installation package?, i.e, the entire 13-14 GB file that can be downloaded at full capacity/directly

The GW2 client installs and saves files much in the same way as GW. The current size of the file is ~13 GB.

You might be able to do this. At the very least, I don't see why there would be a problem in downloading all the files to the computer and then moving them to your USB, so long as when you move all of the files around, you move them as a unit.

I know of no such link for the entire file.

As long as all the files are in one place, you should be able to run it straight from your USB and have the updates downloaded straight to there.

You can get it on USB as long as you formatted It as NTFS,
FAT can't copy files bigger than 4gb

It's like GW1 - .exe and .dat (and a .tmp file used during updating.)

I'm not sure the library would let you stay there and tie up one of their computers overnight.

(Depending upon how fast the library can download, of course. But 15Gigs is a big download and most of those library computers have relatively low download speeds.)

Basically, when you follow the download instructions, you install the GW2.exe and run it with an "-image" command. The "-image" command downloads the whole package 'directly'.
